The Michigan Saves^SM Home Energy loan is an unsecured, personal loan requiring no equity in your home. We offer a low, fixed, annual percentage rate with flexible terms in amounts ranging from $1,000 to $12,500.

• Decide whether to have an energy assessment first, or pick from a list of prequalified improvements. Select an authorized contractor or energy auditor° to get an estimate on qualifying energy improvements.
• Complete the loan application and get a decision within minutes. Your contractor will initiate this process. Tell your contractor you want to finance through Lake Trust Credit Union.
• Once the loan is approved, your contractor will make the energy efficient improvements. After the work is done to your satisfaction, you will sign the loan papers and the contractor will be paid directly.
