David A. Snodgrass is Chief Executive Officer of Lake Trust Credit Union in Lansing, Michigan. Appointed by the Lake Trust Credit Union Board of Directors in October 2011, Snodgrass brings with him to Lake Trust a vast depth and breadth of successes from his former positions. Previously, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Affinity Federal Credit Union in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, and President and Board Member of Affinity Financial Services LLC.
In his 17 years with Affinity, Snodgrass conceived, developed and launched hundreds of initiatives that resulted in the expansion of membership in excess of 100%. Through his work with Affinity and formerly the NCUA, he has demonstrated deep expertise in strategic planning and business transformation as well as mergers/acquisitions, joint ventures, news business development, information technology and training.
Best known for his creative thinking, Snodgrass has an entrepreneurial spirit and an astounding ability to dream big; this really shined through with Affinity iLab, a team that he developed with credit union employees to brainstorm new products and services. He is respected for his strong capacity to see and define possible risk and is highly regarded for blending financial responsibility and creativity.
Snodgrass has served as Chairman of the New Jersey Council of CUES, is a former member of Filene’s i3 Innovation Group (2006-2009); and was named among the “40 Top Executives Under 40 in New Jersey” in 2006. A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Business Administration/Accounting, David also holds an MBA from LaSalle University in Philadelphia.
An active community service advocate, David trains for local road races that raise money for area charities and has participated in Credit Union industry-sponsored Cherry Blossom 10-mile run in Washington DC four times in the past five years. He can also be found on the golf course, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his children and wife, who are looking forward to living in Michigan.
Brian McVeigh is Senior Vice President of Corporate Services at Lake Trust Credit Union. McVeigh has been with the Credit Union since 1995 and currently oversees Information Services, Treasury, Finance, Enterprise Risk Management and Corporate Assets. Previously, Brian served as CFO, and during this time, he was part of a team that introduced investment management services, converted a core operating system, general ledger, helped to develop a balanced scorecard, and aided the Board in the adoption of a new policy governance system.
Prior to joining the credit union, McVeigh worked for First of America Bank Corporation as Assistant Regional Controller for Southeast Michigan representing banks totaling over $7 billion in assets.
McVeigh has served in many credit union professional organizations, most notably as the Chairman of the Executive Committee for the national CUNA CFO Council from 2005 to 2007. As chairman, he and his committee doubled Credit Union membership and opened eligibility to multiple financial professionals. He has also been part of credit union research with Michigan State University (MSU) and has served as an instructor for the Lansing Chapter of Credit Unions and the American Bankers Institute. During his time on the ALM Committee, several state of the art analyses were introduced as the Credit Union grew.
McVeigh holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Michigan State University. Within the community, he serves on the Finance Committee and the Heritage Capital Campaign for Lansing Catholic High School.
A sports fan, McVeigh likes to spend some of his free time on the golf course, attending MSU sporting and arts events, or archery deer hunting. He also spends a lot of his time attending and supporting his son Luke’s basketball and football teams.
Jane Kile is Senior Vice President of Strategic Services at Lake Trust Credit Union. A part of the Credit Union since 1992, Kile currently oversees Human Resources, Marketing, Research and Development and Corporate and Social Responsibility.
Kile serves on the Executive Committee of the Capitol Area Chapter of Credit Unions, serving as the Chair and Secretary previously. During her term as Chair, Kile led key changes to create a more inclusive organization, including a dues restructuring and name change, allowing more credit unions to join and have a voice in important industry impacts.
Kile has a passion for empowerment and created several key changes in the organization to ensure member feedback was heard at all levels of the organization. In her former position as the Senior Vice President of Retail Delivery, in which she had the oversight of 14 branches and the Call Center, she implemented a regional structure giving greater authority at the branch level. Additionally, she piloted a cashless branch, and brought the popular Save-to-Win product to the organization.
Prior to joining Lake Trust, Jane worked for Michigan National Bank Corporation for 14 years where her last position held was Assistant Vice President, Branch Sales Manager.
Jane is a graduate of Michigan State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications. She is also a graduate of the CUNA Management School. She has served in several credit union professional organizations and is currently a member of the Credit Union Executives Society.
Jane resides in Okemos with her husband, Lee. She enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time with Sport and Scarlett, her two golden retrievers.
Carol Galizia is Senior Vice President of Retail and Virtual Services at Lake Trust Credit Union. Galizia has 36 years of financial service experience and currently oversees the lending, branch and call center functions. Additionally, she represents Lake Trust business service interests as a board member for the Michigan Business Connection.
Previously, for 15 years, Galizia served as Executive Vice President at the Credit Union. During which she demonstrated a track record of aligning business units and organization-wide strategies. Galizia managed the functions of Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Marketing, Lending and Branch Operations.
Galizia is experienced in directing highly skilled management teams in execution of strategic objectives. She is known for her ability to course correct with changing economic and competitive environments. Her collaborative leadership style provides an environment for team goal development and performance measures set to reward execution of strategy.
Galizia has been part of many credit union professional organizations and is currently a member of the PSCU Executive Exchange Group. She has also recently been elected to the board of Community Residence Corporation DBA Community Alliance, a non-profit organization that provides living options and life choices for those with disabilities.
Galizia holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, Livonia and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University.
Outside of her love for the credit union industry, Galizia enjoys playing the piano and riding her motorcycle. She currently volunteers for both the Special Olympics and the children’s pre-school program at Oak Pointe Church in Milford. Galizia’s favorite pastime is raising a family of six with her musician husband
