Professional Development Grants for Michigan Teachers
Lake Trust Credit Union is committed to supporting financial education and college access efforts in Michigan schools. Lake Trust provides financial assistance to Michigan educators for financial and business related professional development opportunities with the Lake Trust Credit Union Professional Development Award Program.
In recognition of and in appreciation of our secondary school counselors and teachers in Lake Trust's 35-county membership area, the Professional Development Award Program was established to enhance teaching skills and support students' financial, business, and career goals. The program's professional development grants allows Michigan teachers to take advantage of workshops, association conferences, and training.
Since its inception we have helped over 25 educators attend professional development training and reached over 6,000 students with financial literacy due to our efforts. Due to your thank you cards, phone calls, and feedback at conferences, we have increased our commitment for 2012 and look forward to receiving your applications.
