Applications for the 2023 Scholarships are now closed. Scholarship recipients will be announced soon. Every year, the Lake Trust Foundation provides scholarship opportunities to help aspiring college students on the path to the career they’ve always wanted. Learn more about the Michigan Impact Scholarship and New Beginnings Scholarship below.
The Michigan Impact Scholarship was created through a partnership with Cleary University. This year, one Michigan Impact Scholarship is available, and worth full tuition at Cleary University. Students can attend any Cleary University campus (Howell, Ann Arbor, or Detroit) or take classes online. Special consideration is given to those who plan to contribute to the local economy after graduation. View full scholarship guidelines here.
The New Beginnings Scholarship supports those who are interested in pursuing a skilled trade or technical career (ex: electrical, HVAC, construction, welding, plumbing, nursing, EMT etc.). Employers in these categories are facing shortages and jobs are in high demand. This year, up to four New Beginnings Scholarships are available, and are worth up to $7,500.
