We get it. Sometimes life happens and our funds run a little short. Overdrafts happen when we cover a transaction and you don’t have enough money in your account. We can cover your overdrafts three different ways:

  • Account transfer. We’ll pull money from your savings account, money market or line of credit (LOC) for each transaction that would otherwise result in an overdraft. There is a $5 fee for each transfer, which may be less expensive than our standard overdraft solution.
     
  • Courtesy Pay. This is the standard overdraft solution that comes with your account after 30 days. This covers checks, automatic bill payments or ACH transactions made using your checking account number.
     
  • Debit card coverage. If you ask us to, we’ll cover transactions made using your debit card.  

We pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay each transaction.

If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, the transaction will be declined. 

There is a $29 fee for each transaction that we pay using Courtesy Pay or debit card coverage when you have insufficient funds in your account. If your account is overdrawn for 10 consecutive business days, there is an additional fee of $5 per day. There is no limit to these charges.
