Letter from the CEO

Reflecting on 2019

With all that has happened since the start of 2020, it’s almost unfathomable to think back to what life was like just one year ago. However, reflection helps us remember how we overcame challenges in the past that seemed unsurmountable at the time. Teamwork, compassion, and resilience gave us the confidence to face the unknown and will again help us navigate any future obstacles.

Despite abrupt changes in our work and in the world, I continue to be amazed at the level of dedication that Team Lake Trust displays each day as they work tirelessly to find creative ways to help our members and strengthen our communities. Though I’ve seen countless examples of this compassion during recent events (and I hope that you have too), caring for the wellbeing of others has always been an important part of our culture and a value that our members share with us.

Our members, community partners, and team have all played an important role in the accomplishments of the past year. Without you, the stories in this report may have had a very different ending. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your trust, encouragement, and support as we work together to make the world a brighter place.
